A brilliant individual goal from Kemar Roofe gave Sky Bet League 2 leaders Oxford United a 1-0 win over high-flying Vanarama National League side Forest Green Rovers in the FA Cup.
Goalkeeper Steve Arnold had made some super saves in the second half to keep the Gloucestershire outfit in the tie but he was powerless to stop Roofe's fierce low shot from 23 yards in the 76th minute, which bounced off his arm and into the far corner.
Forest Green had made a bright start and Aaron Racine's header brought a save from Benji Buchel after just two minutes.
Oxford, who had striker Danny Hylton booked for leaving his foot in when challenging Arnold, went close when Liam Sercombe's 18-yard drive whistled over the bar.
Just before the break, the non-League side suffered a blow with Dale Bennett stretchered off with a suspected broken ankle.
Oxford threatened more in the second half and only Arnold's reactions kept them out, as he saved three times from the luckless Hylton, his best coming when he turned over the striker's powerful header from Callum O'Dowda's cross.
Forest Green missed their chance when Darren Carter's shot on the turn was saved by Buchel, and in the closing minutes Charlie Clough headed wide from a corner.
