England fans may be approaching Sunday's clash with Germany with a sense of trepidation but the Three Lions' Wag and Stag couple have no such fears having romped through Group C.
Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch had few problems seeing off the challenge of US pair Clint and Bethany Dempsey along with Algeria's Karim Matmour/Manel Filali. In fact it was Slovenian sensations Samir Handanovic and cheerleader Zoja Trobec who emerged as runners-up to England's happy couple.
While the Slovenians are heading for a last 16 date with Serbia's Gojko Kacar and Ena Popov (yes they made it out of Group D unlike their team) Clancy and Crouch are staring headlong at a showdown with Germany's Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sarah Brandner.
Leggy blonde Sarah and Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian only emerged as runners-up to the Serbs in our Wags and Stags Group D contest but should prove stiff opposition for the English pair. Model Sarah was one of the most photographed women at Euro 2008 and was captured carrying pints of frothy lager to sustain her fellow Wags during the tournament. Sounds like a dream girl but am sure nothing will stop Abbey as she continues to put in some serious mileage in her bid to become the ultimate Wag.

A couple of the last 16 pairings have still to be confirmed but the full line-up is starting to take shape.
Uruguay's Diego Forlan - who is enjoying a great tournament on the pitch - and his partner Zaira Nara saw off hosts South Africa in all forms of the game to emerge as Group A winners. To think we still remember the days when Diego Forlan looked like scoring less than Fred Elliott at a vegan convention.
The Atletico Madrid striker and his supermodel girlfriend face up to Zaira's homeland Argentina in the last 16. The Argentines did not have things all their own way in Group B and only emerged as runners-up, unlike the team proper. Glamour couple Pablo Mouche and Luli Fernandez came up against South Korea's surprise package Ahn Jung-Hwan and Lee Hye-won who won all three match-ups to set up last 16 tie with Mexico.
Celebrated couple
Ahn 'Lord of the Rings' Jung-Hwan and his wife Lee Hye-won are one of South Korea's most celebrated couples and have already unsettled some of the favourites in South Africa. They face a tough challenge in Mexico's Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Marisol Gonzalez. To vote in this titanic tussle, click

Italy may have crashed out of the World Cup proper in ignominious fashion but their Wag and Stag representatives managed to scramble their way out of Group F as runners-up.
Sadly for the Azzurri, Riccardo Montolivo and his squeeze Cristina De Pin have it all to do to make it any further in our competition as they run into Dutch delights Rafael and Sylvie van der Vaart.
Long-since established as a golden couple of the WAG/Stag circuit, the Van der Vaarts still look like they could be the pairing to beat in South Africa. Model, actress and television presenter Sylvie oozes the type of glamour you can't attract playing for Exeter, with her talented man a midfield schemer of genuine pedigree.
Italy ace Montolivo is currently living out every man's dream, as he is dating real life Playboy model Cristina but the pair will need to show more up front than the Azzurri to progress in our competition.

The Italian stallion and his Playboy partner were beaten to top spot in Group F by Paraguay's Roque Santa Cruz and Giselle Tavarelli.
The Santa Cruz's have to be considered among the favourites to take the crown, with the ridiculously good looking couple having already made their mark on the world stage. Four years ago Paraguayan frontman Roque was voted the sexiest player at the World Cup by a German magazine, while his wife Giselle was named prettiest woman.
They face Denmark's Nicklas Bendtner and mega-bucks Wag Caroline Luel-Brockdorff in the last 16.
The couple may be absolutely minted with Caroline a member of the Danish Royal family but money can't buy everything and they may find themselves caught between a Roque and a hard place to advance to the last eight.

The remaining groups have still to be decided with who emerges as Group G winners balanced on a knife-edge.
At the time of writing only a handful of votes separate Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Irina Shayk from Brazil keeper Julio Cesar and his wife Susana Werner.
The group winners are likely to face Chile in the last 16 but they are battling for the runners-up spot in Group H with Spain.
