USA held on home soil

Poland twice came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw in their friendly date with the United States of America. Former Hull City striker Jozy Altidore put the USA in front after 13 minutes, calmly slotting home after breaking clear on goal. Poland, though, hit back on the half-hour mark when Adam Matuszczky bundled a Ludovic Obraniak cross over the line. Oguchi Onyewu restored the hosts' lead in the 52nd minute, with Bob Bradley's men dominating proceedings at that stage. However, Jakub Blazczykowski restored parity once again 17 minutes from time and that was how things stayed. A keenly-fought contest was also notable for the fact that Schalke's German-born midfielder Jermaine Jones made his debut for the USA.
