Wednesday 15 June 2016 23:38, UK
Arsenal midfielder Alexis Sanchez hit a stunning volley as Chile beat Panama 4-2 to reach the Copa America quarter-finals.
The Panamanians were featuring in their first-ever Copa America - the centenary of the competition being played in the United States of America - while Chile are the defending champions.
Panama took a shock fifth-minute lead through Miguel Camargo but Eduardo Vargas struck twice to give Chile a deserved half-time advantage.
But it was the third for Chile and the first of Sanchez's double that was the pick of the goals when Vargas - who was on a hat-trick - picked out the Gunners man at the edge of the box as he hit home to make it 3-1.
Abdiel Arroyo pulled one back for Panama in the 75th minute, but Sanchez made it 4-2 as Chile joined Argentina in qualifying from Group D.
