Tottenham's Wembley woe goes on: Spurs denied victory by Burnley

Tottenham's Wembley woe struck again on Sunday, with Chris Wood's late equaliser for Burnley denying Spurs a rare win at the national stadium.
Spurs seemed to be heading to their first Premier League victory at the venue thanks to Dele Alli's second-half strike, but Burnley's new signing Wood struck in the 92nd minute to deny the hosts.
Mauricio Pochettino's side built last season's title challenge on their remarkable unbeaten home form in their final campaign at White Hart Lane, where they won 17 of their 19 Premier League fixtures.
However, with the club playing their home fixtures at Wembley this season while their new stadium is built, there has been focus on the club's poor record at the ground since it opened in 2007.
Spurs have now played 12 matches at the new Wembley, and have won just twice, losing eight times and drawing on two occasions. So much for home comforts - each of the other top six Premier League sides have a better record there.

After losing to Chelsea last weekend, Pochettino rejected suggestions Wembley was causing his team problems. "It's not fair to blame the game on Wembley, because Wembley is for me one of the best places in the world, if not the one place to play football," he said.
But until Tottenham can re-create the fortress feel they had at White Hart Lane, the concerns about the size of the pitch and how it affects Spurs' play, as well as the stadium's motivating factor for opposition teams, will not go away.
