Chelsea are nearing the best-ever Premier League winning streak. But how does their run compare to Europe's longest?

The Blues are one win away from matching Arsenal's run of 13 consecutive victories from the 2001/02 season, following their 3-0 triumph over Bournemouth on Boxing Day.

But how does Chelsea's current streak compare with the best runs in Europe's other top leagues? We take a look...

Bayern Munich - 19 games - 2013/14 (Champions)

Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich racked up 19 consecutive victories en route to winning the Bundesliga in 2013/14 - the best streak recorded across Europe's top five leagues. The European and German champions had not lost a league match in 18 months and won the league with seven games to spare, finishing 19 points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund. They beat the previous record for back-to-back Bundesliga victories of 15, which was also set by a Bayern team in 2005.

Inter Milan - 17 games - 2006/07 (Champions)

It was the club's third title in succession and they finished with 96 points.

Arsenal won a record 13 Premier League matches in a row at the end of the 2001/02 season, starting and ending against Everton.

They ended that season with a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford to finish seven points clear and then beat Chelsea 2-0 in the FA Cup final to secure the Double.
