As we preview the new Premier League season, we pick out five questions for Man Utd.
What have they done in the transfer market?
After missing out on qualifying for Champions League football for the second time in three seasons, Manchester United have splashed the cash this summer to strengthen the squad at new boss Jose Mourinho's disposal.
The incoming manager soon identified the key areas to improve and the acquisitions of Eric Bailly, Henrik Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and world-record signing Paul Pogba will have supporters encouraged that the club has done just that.
How will they line up?
What does the manager say?
"I want to be champion. To say before the season starts that the top four is the target? The top four is not the target. We want to play to be champions. If during the season we realise the points difference doesn't allow us to fight for the title, we are going to establish a new title and when you can't be champion the next target is to finish top four."
What's the pundit verdict?
"Jose Mourinho has knowledge of the Premier League. Manchester United have really suffered from not having a big personality, someone who can drag the lesser lights with them. Now they have Zlatan Ibrahimovic. If he has a really good season then United could win it." - Graeme Souness
What's your prediction?
Manchester United are the 3/1 second favourites with Sky Bet to lift the Premier League title and 4/11 to make the top four. Ibrahimovic is the 9/1 third favourite to be the Premier League top scorer.
