Exeter have announced the signing of striker Jayden Stockley from Aberdeen for a club record fee.

The 23-year-old, who scored 10 goals in 21 starts for the Grecians while on loan at the club at Bournemouth last year, has now joined Paul Tisdale's side on a permanent basis.

The 23-year-old, who scored 10 goals in 21 starts for the Grecians while on loan at the club at Bournemouth last year, has now joined Paul Tisdale's side on a permanent basis.

"As soon as I became aware that there was a chance of me leaving (Aberdeen), I had a conservation with Tis. I obviously had conversations with other clubs as well, but it was kind of tunnel vision when Tis spoke to me," Stockley told the club's official website.

"I wanted to go to a club where I believe in the same things as the manager and I know that there are good players. So as soon as I knew Tis was interested, me and my family jumped at the chance."

The League Two leaders have also signed forward Kyle Edwards on loan from Premier League side West Brom until January.

Edwards has yet to feature in the first team for the Baggies, although the 19-year-old was an unused substitute in a League Cup defeat at Norwich in September 2015.

West Brom's professional development phase coach Darren Moore said: "Kyle is an excellent player. He is an exciting talent with real potential. He is quick and very direct and has tight ball control.

"He has the ability to go past people and create things and I am pleased that he is going to Exeter as they have a great reputation and philosophy for playing good, attacking football."

City assistant manager Matt Oakley added: "Kyle is another promising youngster at West Brom and we are delighted that Darren (Moore) and Tony Pulis consider Exeter City the right club for him to join on loan. He will add a real strength in depth to our squad and we are pleased to welcome Kyle to our club."

Exeter also agreed a loan deal for right-back Kane Wilson from West Brom until January, subject to Premier League approval.

Midfielder Hiram Boateng joined the Grecians on a free transfer from Crystal Palace to become their fourth deadline-day signing.
