Montenegro top Group G ahead of Wembley trip

Roma star Mirko Vucinic scored the only goal of the game as Montenegro shocked Switzerland 1-0 in Euro 2012 qualifying Group G. The striker netted in the 67th minute in Podgorica to give his country a morale boost ahead of Tuesday's meeting with England at Wembley. As a result of the win, Montenegro top the group with nine points from three matches ahead of their trip to London, while 2010 World Cup finalists Switzerland have still to register a point. Switzerland were generally assumed to be England's greatest test in Group G, but now the meeting with Montenegro has taken on increased significance. Elsewhere in the group, Wales lost 1-0 to Bulgaria in Cardiff as Chris Gunter was sent off in the closing minutes after Ivelin Popov scored in the 48th minute. The defeat leaves Brian Flynn's side without a point after two matches, having lost to Montenegro under former boss John Toshack when Vucinic scored the only goal.
