Russia's Roman Neustadter is wary of England ahead of their Euro 2016 Group B opener in Marseille on Saturday.
Roy Hodgson's men come in to the tournament with a 100 per cent qualification record, while they have also beaten European heavyweights Germany and France in the last eight months.
They are favourites to progress out of Group B and Neustadter, who plays for Schalke, knows their clash on the south coast will present a tough test.
"I think that England are a very good team with good players," he said. "The team had a very good season.
"There are both young players and experienced ones in the England team."
Neustadter is a defender by trade but with Igor Denisov struggling with an injury, the 28-year-old is primed to step into a defensive midfield role.
"It all depends on the coach," he added. "But in principle, I played defensive midfielder and I know this position, I know the tactical features. So it will not be difficult for me.
"I communicate very well with all the guys."
