Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has held talks about a new contract with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Sarri has been touted as a possible successor to Antonio Conte if the Chelsea boss leaves Stamford Bridge in the close-season.
Sarri and De Laurentiis had a two-hour meeting on Wednesday, where it is understood a new deal was discussed, although he is yet to commit his future to the Serie A side.
Napoli will be keen to hold on to the 59-year-old, who has guided the club to second in the Italian league.
The club pushed Juventus hard for the Serie A crown before the Turin side guaranteed their 34th Italian title and seventh in a row with a 0-0 draw against Roma on Sunday.
