Massimiliano Allegri believes Germany suits Kingsley Coman after the Juventus loanee played a part in his side's exit from the Champions League.
The Frenchman was in fine form as Bayern came back from 2-0 down to beat Allegri's Juventus 4-2 and go through 6-4 on aggregate, scoring one and assisting another.
With no clause in Coman's two-year loan to Bayern from Juventus, the 19-year-old was able to play, and his parent club's manager believes he is suited to the Bundesliga club.
"He put in a good performance and scored when we gave away too much space," Allegri said.
"He has developed a lot. Germany suits him because he gets more space there to showcase his qualities."
Last year's runners-up Juventus looked in a comfortable position at half-time, but fell apart with 20 minutes remaining at the Allianz Arena.
Allegri rued missed chances at 2-0, and says his side had to be more clinical in front of goal.
"It's a shame to be eliminated after a performance like this, against a Bayern who have extraordinary players," Allegri told Premium Sport.
"One minute before the half-time whistle, [Juan] Cuadrado could have scored the 3-0, [Alvaro] Morata got some chances and [Stephan] Lichtsteiner could have scored.
"We had to be more clinical in front of goal. We could have done better in some situations. We had to be more calm.
"It was not easy to be 2-0 up after 45 minutes. We showed character. We had to defend better with those last two balls.
"They were unable to create anything and were not dangerous. But then from the 70th minute on everything changed. That's football."
