York City have signed Newcastle defender Kyle Cameron in a loan deal.
Cameron has been with the Magpies since the age of nine, progressing through the youth ranks before joining the Premier League club full-time in the summer of 2013.
The 18-year-old has appeared for England at U16 and U17 level before switching allegiance to Scotland in 2014
Cameron, who can play at centre-back or left-back, helped Newcastle's U18s to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals last season.
The Hexham-born youngster recently completed a loan spell at Northern League Premier Division side Workington AFC.
York will be desperate to shore up their defence as they prop up the League Two table after 24 games this season.
