Kaka sheds a tear during the national anthems on Sunday

An emotional Kaka shed a tear before Orlando City's 1-0 defeat by Columbus Crew on his final match with the Florida side.

Kaka, the 35-year-old Brazilian, announced on Wednesday he would not re-sign with Orlando City after a three-year run with the expansion team.

The 35-year-old has not indicated that he plans to retire, which leaves open the possibility of playing in his native Brazil, but reflected on his time in Orlando after the game.

He said: "It was a very emotional game, so hard to play sometimes because when I was on the field a lot of things was in my mind so it was difficult to focus on the game.

"It was a really, really special game, of course I wanted to finish with a win but with this, this goodbye it's very good for me as well because it's not about the result, it's not about the things that we couldn't change here so I learn a lot from this city, from this club, from everybody - the staff, teammates and you guys - so it's been a hard day but very happy as well."

Orlando wrap up the season next Sunday at Philadelphia, but Kaka is not expected to play.
