Marco Pappa produced some sublime skill to escape two opponents

Colorado Rapids midfielder Marco Pappa lit up Monday's MLS clash with DC United with a sublime off-the-cuff piece of skill.

Surrounded by United players Taylor Kemp and Fabian Espindola, the Guatemalan left the on-rushing defenders for dead with an impromptu Cruyff-style turn.

The hosts' defence had no other option but to bring Pappa to ground to prevent him from repeating the feat and, potentially, initiating an attack.

There was nothing to separate Colorado and DC United as they played out a 1-1 draw at Robert F Kennedy Memorial Stadium.
