Charlie Nicholas provides his predictions for Monday Night Football, backing Arsenal to see off Premier League title rivals Manchester City.
The Soccer Saturday pundit is expecting a Christmas treat - and believes Mesut Ozil will be the decisive figure for his former side at the Emirates...
Arsenal v Manchester City
I think we're going to be in for a real football treat, with two teams possessing immense attacking talent, defensive vulnerabilities but two world-class goalkeepers.
It's a gigantic game for both clubs. I would say slightly more for Arsenal because the opportunity is here. An opportunity to make a statement of intent and explode into a confident mode.
I was listening to Jamie Carragher and Frank Lampard, the master of timing runs, discussing Aaron Ramsey, saying he needs to be careful of leaving gaps for the likes of Yaya Toure, but you can't ask the lad to change his game. He gets into the team because of the way he plays the game. Yes, there are holes and there are problems to counteract but Arsenal need to go out and win this game.
For City, Toure has been average, David Silva is struggling to get his fitness back and I imagine Sergio Aguero will be eager to start. I think that might be a positive because Wilfried Bony is hungry and has caused Arsenal problems in the past.
I think Monday night is going to be Mesut Ozil's time. The contest is between him and Silva to be the creative spirits and I think a couple of assists from Ozil will decide the game.
Charlie predicts: 3-1 with Theo Walcott to score first (75/1 with Sky Bet)
