Martin Tyler brings you the answer to last week's teaser, ahead of Liverpool's final game of the season against Brighton

Who became just the fourth substitute to net and then get sent off? Which side scored without having a shot on target? What unwanted record did Lewis Dunk equal in February? And what landmark did Petr Cech reach in March?

The 2017/18 Premier League has now drawn to a close, with Manchester City crowned champions after a record-breaking campaign for Pep Guardiola's side.

City have smashed all kinds of records on their way to the title, however, they were not the only top-flight team to do that this season.

So whether it was records for quick-fire strikes, debut goals, losing and winning runs, possession stats, clean sheets or points gained, we round-up the most eye-catching numbers from the last campaign…

Martin's Salah Stats

I finished my season at Liverpool v Brighton, so had the chance to reflect on Mohamed Salah's sensational statistics.

In all competitions he has 44 goals in 51 appearances, including 32 in 26 in the Premier League. His 32nd goal set a record for goals scored in a 38-game Premier League season.

For the record, the all-time record is Andy Cole's 34 from a 42-game season (1993/94) and Alan Shearer got the same tally the following year. The previous record for a 38-game season was Luis Suarez (Liverpool, 2013/14), Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd (2007/08) and Shearer (Blackburn, 1995/96).

Brighton became the 17th different opponent this season. He failed to score against Manchester United and Swansea. This was the 24th Premier League game he had scored in this season, extending that particular record.

He also clinched the Golden Boot, two goals ahead of Harry Kane. This was the first season in which two players have scored 30 goals in a 38-game season.

Ian Rush still has the all-time Liverpool scoring record in all competitions from 1983/84 when he got 47 in 65 appearances. Salah needs a hat-trick against Real Madrid to equal it. You wouldn't put it past him!

August

Alexandre Lacazette made a dream debut for Arsenal when scoring just 94 seconds into the opening game of the new Premier League season against Leicester City on Friday Night Football - and according to our records, that's the fastest goal ever scored at the start of a Premier League season.

Chelsea became just the second defending champion side to lose the opening fixture of their Premier League title defence after a shock 3-2 loss at home to Burnley. The only other title winners to suffer such an ignominious start to a campaign were Leicester City, who lost 2-1 at Hull City the season before.

West Brom's Hal Robson-Kanu came off the bench against Burnley, scored and got sent off - becoming the fourth player to net that unlikely hat-trick. The others were Ivan Klasnic, Bobby Zamora and David Lee.

Kasper Schmeichel saved a Premier League penalty at Old Trafford, something his father Peter never did.

September

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and West Ham finished the first three games with zero points - the first time three sides have been pointless after three matches of a Premier League season.

Crystal Palace became the first team in English top-flight history to lose their first five matches without scoring. In fact, they lost all seven and didn't score their first goal until game eight against Chelsea!

Arsenal won 2-0 against West Brom on Monday Night Football, meaning they completed a run of seven straight home wins - all played on different days of the week.

The only other player to have scored in 100 per cent of their away Premier League appearances against a specific opponent, with a minimum of four games, is Ruud van Nistelrooy in five matches at Newcastle between 2001 and 2006.

Arsenal equalled their longest run without a clean sheet in Premier League history as a 2-1 defeat at Brighton made it 11 games in a row. The run ended with a 3-0 win over Watford.

This was the fifth season in which the Premier League title was decided at Old Trafford - more than any other stadium in the competition. But it is the second time the title has been won by a side other than Manchester United there. The other was Arsenal in 2002.

However, the Gunners have twice performed better than their 2017/18 record of 47 points from 19 games, with 15 wins, two draws and two losses. Their best home record under Wenger was during the 'Invincibles' season of 2003/04 when they picked up 49 points after 15 wins and four draws.

Huddersfield's draw at Chelsea meant all three newly-promoted sides stayed up for only the third time in Premier League history after 2001/02 and 2011/12.

The ever-present sides - Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham - all played in their 1,000th Premier League game on the final day of the final day.
