FIFA have charged Republic of Ireland for using a symbol on their shirts commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising.
Their shirts were stitched with the words "Eire Ireland 1916 2016" under the badge of the Football Association of Ireland for the friendlies against Switzerland on March 25 and Slovakia on March 29.
FIFA rules ban the use of political, personal or religious statements on shirts.
The Easter Rising was a rebellion against British rule.
It follows on from FIFA's refusal to allow England and Scotland to wear the Remembrance poppy when they play in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 11, Armistice Day.
England and Scotland have insisted they will wear black armbands bearing the poppy for their clash at Wembley.
