Jonathan Walters hailed a 'special group of players' for helping the Republic of Ireland to qualify for Euro 2016.
Martin O'Neill's side defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 over two legs with Walters scoring twice in a 2-0 win at the Aviva Stadium.
That result secured their place in France next summer and meant jubilant scenes on the pitch and in the stands at the final whistle.
"The whole team on the pitch were heroes, Richard [Keogh] at the back, Darren [Randolph], unbelievable from everyone. We got there in the end, we got there the hard way but we got there," Walters told Sky Sports.
"Without a shadow of a doubt, to qualify and play the way we did, it was unbelievable. You've just got to take it all in because these moments don't come around very often in people's careers.

"To have this special group of players, my wife and children watching, it's a very special moment."
Defender Richard Keogh was also understandably ecstatic and praised the defensive performance of the side to keep Bosnia-Herzegovina at bay having taken the lead.
"It's an unbelievable feeling, what a night, just look at the atmosphere now," Keogh said.
"We played really well, we got the goal and then we defended really well. They tried to throw everything at us and we stood up to it, that's what you've got to do in big games like this.
"To play for my country means the world for me and I've had to be patient as well, there's a lot of good players in my position but through good form for my club and a bit of luck I've stepped up to the plate. I'm going to enjoy it for sure."
There was also a word for the coaching staff from Walters before he joined the rest of the side on a lap of honour.
"They've been excellent throughout the whole campaign," Walters added. "It's been a long, hard two years."
