Chris Coleman has held informal talks with the FAW over extending his contract.

Coleman met with FAW officials this week to primarily discuss Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign where Coleman's contract was also discussed.

The Wales manager's tenancy, which comes to an end this summer, has been questioned after Wales failed to qualify for the World Cup play-offs after losing 1-0 to the Republic of Ireland last week.

Sky Sports News reported that a number of senior Wales players including Gareth Bale met with Coleman after the defeat to persuade him to stay.
