Gareth Bale so nearly scored an incredible overhead kick for Wales in their 1-0 World Cup Qualifier win over Austria on Saturday night.
With Wales already 1-0 up in Cardiff thanks to a remarkable goal from 17-year-old Ben Woodburn on his international debut, Bale was unlucky not to extend his nation's lead after attempting a spectacular scissor-kick just before Hal Robson-Kanu hit the outside of the post in the final moments of the match.
Robson-Kanu's cross into the box was headed up into the air by Kevin Danso, which allowed the Real Madrid forward to go for the spectacular attempt and have the Wales fans on their feet.
Luckily for Danso, Austria goalkeeper Heinz Lindner bailed him out by pulling off a brilliant save to deny Bale from scoring his 13th goal in his 18th competitive international match.
