Steven Fletcher has been recalled to the Scotland squad for the UEFA Nations League games against Albania and Israel later this month.
The Sheffield Wednesday forward is selected for the first time since October 2017, while Callum Paterson and Matt Phillips also return.
Injuries to Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths and Hearts attacker Steven Naismith have left national boss Alex McLeish short on options in attack, leaving Cardiff's Paterson and West Brom's Phillips the opportunity to impress.
Michael Devlin and Gary Mackay-Steven were late call-ups by McLeish for the last squad, but are in from the start this time.
However, Celtic defender Jack Hendry, Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay and West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass all miss out.
"I spoke to him this morning and he was keen to join up. He's in good form but he's been out for a long time," McLeish said of Fletcher's recall.
"We felt he needed to get more games under his belt at the start of the season and he's done that.
"When we had the [injury] call-offs, we had no hesitation to call Steven and here he is.
"He has brilliant experience and he's a specialist centre-forward. We've still got young strikers coming through like [Swansea striker] Ollie McBurnie, so these guys can learn off people like Fletcher."
