Malky Mackay to call-up uncapped trio for first friendly as interim Scotland boss

Interim Scotland manager Malky Mackay will call-up uncapped trio Ryan Jack, Graeme Shinnie and Ryan Christie for next month's friendly against the Netherlands.

Kenny McLean and Callum Paterson, who have been out of the international frame since 2016, will also be drafted in along with with Celtic captain Scott Brown, whose future was uncertain after Gordon Strachan resigned last month.

Brown is yet to confirm whether or not he will continue to play for his country. He retired briefly last year but came back into the fold a few months later.

Mackay will name his full squad on Monday for the clash at Pittodrie on November 9, which is live on Sky Sports.

It will be the first match after Strachan's departure following Scotland's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Rangers midfielder Jack has impressed this season, since his summer move from Aberdeen, despite being sent off three times in 10 Scottish Premiership games, while Dons trio Christie, Shinnie and McLean have also been in good form domestically this term.
