Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has been called into Scotland's squad for their final World Cup Qualifiers.
The 24-year-old scored twice to preserve Celtic's unbeaten record in the 2-2 draw with Hibernian on Saturday, taking his tally to six goals in 15 appearances this season.
Scotland head coach Gordon Strachan has now opted to draft the player into the squad to face Slovakia and Slovenia, with McGregor's club team-mates Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong ruled out through injury.
Brown came off 20 minutes from time during the 3-0 Champions League win over Anderlecht in midweek while Armstrong, who played the full 90 minutes at Ibrox last Saturday, suffered a calf injury during the warm-up in Brussels.
The Scottish FA said on Friday they were no plans to bring in cover "at this point in time". Strachan had named a 25-man squad on Monday.
