Scotland have confirmed Leigh Griffiths is among four players ruled out of their World Cup qualifier against Malta on Sunday.
Griffiths, 26, was a doubt with a hamstring problem after being substituted before the hour mark in Celtic's 4-1 win over Aberdeen at the weekend.
The Celtic striker, who has scored seven goals in the Scottish Premiership and Champions League qualifying already this season, has now been ruled out of the squad, along with club team-mate Kieran Tierney, Crystal Palace's James McArthur and Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald.
Scotland have called up Tony Watt, on loan at Hearts from Charlton Athletic, and Rangers defender Lee Wallace as replacements.
McArthur started Crystal Palace's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday, but was taken off early in the second half in what was his first Premier League game of the season following an injury.
McDonald, who joined Sky Bet Championship side Fulham from Wolves this summer, is yet to make his senior Scotland debut.
