Since making his Three Lions debut as a 17-year-old in 2003, the Manchester United forward has gone on to represent his country on 107 occasions and his penalty against Switzerland on Wednesday took him to 50 goals.
Rooney has been in fine form during qualifying for Euro 2016, scoring seven times in his eight appearances as Roy Hodgson's men booked their place at next summer's tournament.
