Carl Jenkinson has revealed he will have to have a serious think as to which country he will play for, but only after he establishes himself as a regular starter for Arsenal.

Jenkinson was handed a tumultuous start to his Arsenal career, making his first start in a UEFA Champions League away leg qualifier against Udinese before getting sent off in the infamous 8-2 hammering at Old Trafford. But, despite a nightmare start to his career at the north London giants, the youngster admitted it was always a dream to sign for the club he supported as a boy. "When Arsenal signed me it blew me away," he said. "It was all a bit of a blur. It was my dream. You always want to play for the club you support. "It was just a big shock, more I was so happy that Arsenal had come in and wanted to sign me. "There were other big clubs who were interested. None of them would have meant the same. When I knew Arsenal were interested there was only one place I wanted to go."
