Nathan Redmond and Harry Winks have been included in England's preliminary squad for the Nations League finals.
They are joined in the 27-man party by Winks' Tottenham team-mate and England captain Harry Kane, who has been called-up despite not playing since April 9 after suffering an ankle injury.
Winks' last appearance came in the same game, but he has also been included in the squad after recently undergoing groin surgery.
Redmond's inclusion is the most surprising of the 27, with his only previous England cap coming in March 2017.
However, he impressed as Southampton avoided relegation from the Premier League under Ralph Hasenhuttl, and was named the Saints' Player of the Year for 2019.
He is joined in the England squad by Southampton team-mate James Ward-Prowse. He has just two England caps, but was involved in the most recent games against the Czech Republic and Montenegro.
Jesse Lingard and Joe Gomez have both returned after missing the previous squad with injury, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek has not been named for the Nations League after suffering an ankle injury during Chelsea's friendly against New England Revolution on Thursday.
The charity match took place less than two weeks before the Blues' Europa League final clash against Arsenal - and Loftus-Cheek now looks set to miss that fixture as well as the Nations League.
Luke Shaw and James Tarkowski have been left out of the 27-man squad, despite being fit. Both players have featured intermittently for England since the World Cup, but will not be involved this summer.
Gareth Southgate has also found no room in his squad for James Maddison or Aaron Wan-Bissaka, despite the duo impressing for Leicester and Crystal Palace this season.
England will face the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the Nations League on June 6. Gareth Southgate must cut his 27-man party to 23 by May 27.
Gareth Southgate explained he named a larger, 27-man squad due to the number of injuries England players have suffered. He said: "We have a lot of unknowns - Callum Hudson Odoi (suffering with a ruptured Achilles) and Ruben Loftus Cheek would definitely have been in the squad.
"It is very unfortunate that they look like they have sustained injuries which may keep them out for some time - although we are waiting for confirmation on Ruben."
Asked about the inclusion of Harry Kane, who is recovering from an ankle injury, Southgate said: "That is one of the unknowns. He is working towards being fit for Tottenham's (Champions League) final and we have got to see how that progresses.
"Clearly he is a player we would want to give every opportunity to, his goal-scoring record for us is phenomenally high and he is the captain of the team. So we are keeping that door open and we will see how things progress."
