England boss Gareth Southgate says Harry Kane is as good a finisher as anybody he has ever worked with.
The Tottenham striker scored from the penalty spot as England completed their World Cup European qualifying Group F campaign with a 1-0 win in Lithuania on Sunday.
Kane has been in exceptional goalscoring form, having netted 15 times in his last 10 games for club and country, and Southgate was keen to praise the 24-year-old, who captained England in Vilnius and at Wembley for the 1-0 win over Slovenia.
"It's a fantastic record and his finishing quality is top, as good as anybody I've played with or worked with," said former England centre-back Southgate.
"I'm never in any doubt that when he has a good opportunity, that it's going to be on target and that there's a fair chance he scores. We're fortunate to have him.
"But I also think the likes of [Marcus] Rashford, at 19, just need a bit more time to come to the fore."
Kane has now found the target in each of the four occasions he has captained England and Southgate admitted he has been impressed by his leadership qualities.
"I couldn't be happier with the way he's led, both in terms of leading by example on the pitch with his performances, but also as he is with the group," he added.
Next up for England are back-to-back high-profile Wembley friendlies against Germany and Brazil in November ahead of the World Cup draw in Moscow on December 1.
