Gareth Southgate names his England squad for October's World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday, but which players would make the cut based on the latest Sky Sports Power Rankings.
England need just three points against either Slovenia and Lithuania to secure their passage to Russia 2018.
However, who would the England boss pick if his selections were based solely on statistical form since the start of the Premier League season?
The Power Rankings methodology reflects a player's performance for the campaign so far by awarding points for 32 different stats, and we have used those accumulative totals to determine who would get the call-up.
So this is the squad Southgate would go with to confirm England's place at next summer's World Cup finals, including this starting XI in a 4-3-3 formation...
Goalkeeper: Fraser Forster (Southampton) - 6820 points
The Southampton goalkeeper gets the nod to start in goal after his impressive form for his club this season, keeping three clean sheets in the opening six Premier League contests.
Left-back: Charlie Daniels (Bournemouth) - 5584 points

Centre-back: Phil Jones (Man Utd) - 9165 points
Described recently by Southgate as England's best defender, the in-form centre back is one of the first names on the team sheet after helping to marshal a United defence that has kept five clean sheets in just six league encounters so far this season.
Centre-back: James Tarkowski (Burnley) - 9232 points
A rock-solid presence at the heart of a Burnley back four that has kept two clean sheets in six Premier League games, including impressive defensive displays at Stamford Bridge, Wembley and Anfield, earns the central defender an England debut.
Right-back: Kyle Walker (Man City) - 6729 points

Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur) - 10,888 points
He is normally one of Southgate's first picks, and that does not change here with the 21-year-old making the final XI having contributed two goals and an assist for Spurs so far this campaign, including creating 13 chances for his team-mates.
Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) - 7510 points

Strikers
Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) - 8673 points
Five goals from only eight shots on target sees the Leicester frontman keep his place in the England squad.
Danny Welbeck (Arsenal) - 8288 points
Had he not been injured, the Arsenal forward's three goals and an assist would have seen him on the substitutes' bench for this World Cup Qualifying double header.
Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) - 6312 points
Liverpool's back-up striker sneaks into the squad, despite having scored only once in the Premier League this campaign.
Tammy Abraham (Swansea City) - 5810 points
