Phil Jones, Kieran Trippier and Jake Livermore all missed England training on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Malta and Slovakia.
The trio sat out the session at St George's Park as a precaution as Gareth Southgate prepares his squad for a crucial pair of international fixtures.
Jones suffered a knock to his ankle during Manchester United's win over Leicester on Saturday, although the injuries to Trippier and Livermore are unknown.
However, all three players are still in contention to face Malta at the Ta' Qali National Stadium on Friday.
England currently lead Group F by two points ahead of nearest rivals Slovakia, who will travel to Wembley on September 4.
