Dylan Duncan had a day to remember as the Tottenham teenager was drafted in to take part in an England training session.
The 17-year-old was called into action by Gareth Southgate after Wayne Rooney and Ryan Bertrand both missed training because of injury.
England, who are training at Spurs' training ground in Enfield, are preparing for their international friendly with Spain on Tuesday.
With only 19 outfield players fit for training, Southgate wanted an extra body to make the session an even number.
Formerly on the books of Southend and a current part of the Tottenham U17 and U21 teams, Duncan looked comfortable and confident as he was thrust into the limelight.
He was seen playing a keep-ball session with the likes of Phil Jageilka, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson, who is due to captain England against Spain on Tuesday in Rooney's absence.
The Manchester United man was missing with what Southgate called a "minor issue" but even if he was fit, the England caretaker manager revealed he would not have been starting anyway.
