Luke Shaw has been released from the England squad and has not travelled to Slovakia for their opening World Cup Qualifier on Sunday.
The Manchester United defender, who returned to action at the start of this season following a serious injury suffered in September of last year, has been released from Sam Allardyce's squad.
The left-back did not train with the England players at St George's Park on Saturday morning, as the medical team continue to manage his workload.
With Danny Rose set to start against Slovakia in Trnava this weekend, Shaw has been allowed to return to Manchester to train with his club as a precautionary measure.
Allardyce's remaining 22 players all travelled out to Slovakia on Saturday afternoon. The England boss has already named his starting XI ahead of the Group F clash.
Shaw has played every minute of United's three Premier League games this season, while lasting more than an hour of their Community Shield fixture against Leicester at Wembley.
The 21-year-old suffered a badly broken leg during United's opening Champions League game last season against PSV Eindhoven and did not play again during their 2015/16 campaign.
