Kyle Walker says England's "exciting young squad" is in France to win Euro 2016 this summer.

Roy Hodgson's players trained in front of a crowd of locals at their Chantilly base on Tuesday morning, four days before their opening Group B game against Russia in Marseille.

And Walker was in confident mood after the session when asked how far the tournament's youngest squad can go in the coming weeks.

"I'd like to think all the way," he said. "I would not be here if not. It's an exciting young squad and hopefully we can do the business on the pitch and make our country proud."

Walker staked his claim to start at right-back this weekend with a man-of-the-match performance in England's final warm-up against Portugal.

Nathaniel Clyne is the alternative, and Walker is ready for the battle, having held off stiff competition from Kieran Trippier at Tottenham for most of the season.
