Harry Kane is relishing the opportunity to link up with Wayne Rooney at Euro 2016, with the England captain potentially set for a deeper role.
Rooney hinted on Tuesday, following Manchester United's 3-1 victory over Bournemouth, that he was keen to play in a deeper midfielder role at the finals in France.
There have been calls from a section of the England support for Rooney to be dropped entirely from Roy Hodgson's starting line.
But Kane told Sky Sports News HQ: "Wayne's a fantastic player, I think you've seen throughout his entire career that he doesn't just score goals, he creates goals and has a great pass in him.
"If the manager picks him in the deeper role and picks me up top, of course I would be looking forward to that kind of service. He's a great player, he's our captain, his stats are there to show and as a striker that is all you can look at.
"He's a great trainer, he works very hard and obviously when he is here next week he will look to continue that. I can only learn off players like Wayne, as we all can from the experienced players, I am looking forward to it."
Kane, who has been tipped to lead the England forward line alongside Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, goes to France off the back of two prolific seasons at Tottenham.
The Spurs forward has scored 59 goals in 101 matches, boasting a record of a goal every 131 minutes.
Kane is savouring the build up to his first major international tournament, but is keen for England to find the same consistency that saw them win all 10 of their qualification matches.
"Any player wants to win major tournaments. We've got to have that in our minds and that has to be our goal. We know we are a great side, we have great players, great ability and we have just got to go out there and express that," the 22-year-old added.
"We have just got to go out there and find that ability, try and find that form and get that consistency.
"To be part of it now is special. It is what I dreamed of, I worked very hard to do and now that I am here, I have got to work even harder to maintain it and that is what I am looking to do."
