England should start Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at Euro 2016, says Alex Scott

England right-back Alex Scott insists Roy Hodgson should take Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Euro 2016 - and start him.

The Arsenal Ladies star, who reached a World Cup semi-final last year, took part in a live #YOUWOT on the Soccer AM Facebook page on Tuesday in which she selected her starting England XI for the summer tournament in France.

And she raised a few eyebrows by selecting Arsenal's Oxlade-Chamberlain - who is currently injured and is not taking part in this week's friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands - as part of a three-man attack, ahead of Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling or Adam Lallana.

"This is very controversial, but instead of Lallana in my team, I would have the Ox," she said.

"In my formation you need workers, which is Danny Welbeck on the left and the Ox getting up and down with pace and technical ability.

"Lallana was good against Germany and gave us energy, but I just think we needed a bit more and the Ox can give us pace.

"With Harry Kane up top, Welbeck and the Ox are workers up and down the line and can do a defensive job as well.

"They've still got the technical ability to go forward and join the attacks. In international football it's not about pretty football, it's about winning games."
