Could Manchester United draw Liverpool, Tottenham or Gary Neville's Valencia in the Europa League? All you need to know ahead of Monday's draw...

Louis van Gaal's side have to settle for Europe's second-tier club competition after defeat at Wolfsburg and join Neville's new La Liga side - also parachuted in following Champions League failure - in the Round of 32.

Liverpool and Tottenham are also in the seeded pot when the draw - pitting 16 seeded teams against 16 unseeded teams - takes place on Monday, December 14 in Nyon, after their respective Matchday Six results saw them qualify as group winners.

So is there a chance of a familiar match-up in the next stage? Here's all you need to know - from times and dates to crucial seeding information...

When's the draw?

Monday, December 14 at midday GMT - following the Champions League last-16 draw.

Europa League two-legged ties will be drawn for the Round of 32, with the draw for the Round of 16 on February 26.

Manchester United cannot be drawn against teams from the same country at the Round of 32 stage - so forget about a tussle with Liverpool or Tottenham.

Should United, Liverpool and Spurs all make it through their respective last-32 ties, an all-Premier League affair would be a goer in the Round of 16 onwards, when seeding and 'country protection' no longer applies.

What about Gary Neville's Valencia?

Gary Neville feels positive about his new Valencia squad, despite their 2-0 loss to Lyon in the Champions League.

United are seeded as one of the four third-placed Champions League sides who scored the most points in the group stage.

But Neville's side finished as one of the third-placed Champions League sides who scored the fewest points - paving the way for an eye-catching match-up between the player who won 20 trophies at Old Trafford and his former club.

United could also face one of the other unseeded teams in the draw: Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahce, Fiorentina, Galatasaray, Marseille, FC Midtjylland, Partizan Belgrade, Saint Etienne, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Sion, Sporting Lisbon, Sparta Prague, Villarreal.

Who could Liverpool or Tottenham face?

With both Liverpool and Spurs qualifying as group winners, they too could set up a knockout tie with Neville's Valencia, as well as the other 15 non-seeded teams listed above.

Any other sides to avoid?

Had Liverpool and Tottenham been among the non-seeded teams, they could have been clocking up the air miles with trips to Russia to face Lokomotiv Moscow or FC Krasnodar.

Instead, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Fiorentina, Shakhtar Donetsk, Valencia and defending champions Sevilla could lie in wait.

Sevilla have won the tournament for the past two seasons but were knocked out of the Champions League after finishing behind Manchester City and Juventus.

Europa League group winners: Athletic Bilbao, FC Basel, Braga, FC Krasnodar, Lazio, Liverpool, Lokomotiv Moscow, Molde FK, Napoli, Rapid Wien, Schalke 04, Tottenham.
