FC Twente missed the chance to close to within two points of Eredivisie leaders Ajax after being held to a 1-1 draw at FC Groningen.
The hosts went ahead in the fifth minute when Krisztian Adorjan fired home but Twente ensured the points were shared when Dusan Tadic struck the equaliser with 13 minutes remaining. The result leaves second-placed Twente four points from pacesetters Ajax after 23 games, while Groningen are up to ninth.
