Robin van Persie turned back the years with a stunning free-kick for Feyenoord in their Eredivisie match at PEC Zwolle on Saturday.

Robin van Persie rolled back the years with a fine free-kick for Feyenoord against PEC Zwolle on Saturday.

Feyenoord missed the chance to make ground on the Eredivisie's top two as they fell to a 3-1 defeat to the league strugglers, but Van Persie did have a moment to remember.

In the 35th minute, the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker took on the responsibility of a free-kick on the edge of the box and bent it into the top corner to score his eighth goal of the season.

His equaliser was short-lived as Zwolle went on to score a further two, meaning Feyenoord are still seeking their first league win since December 9.
