Adnan Januzaj has confirmed he has joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United on a season-long loan
The Belgian winger tweeted a photo of himself at Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park stadium holding the No 9 shirt with his name on the back.
It is understood Januzaj spurned the advances of Everton, Tottenham, Marseille and Valencia in order to sign for the Bundesliga side.
He told the club's website: "Borussia Dortmund are a big club and the fans are meant to be really incredible here. I would like to achieve great things with this team."
Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc added: "Adnan is a highly talented and technically adept player who rounds off our attack."
Januzaj joined United from Anderlecht in 2011 but did not make his first-team debut until 2013, against Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield.
Since then, he has been in and out of the first-team picture, first under David Moyes and then Van Gaal.
He scored the only goal in the Premier League victory at Aston Villa on August 14, but he missed Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Swansea, with United saying he had a hip injury.
Januzaj, who had been eligible to represent Turkey and Albania at international level, made his Belgium debut last May and went on to play at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He has made six appearances for Belgium so far.
