Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says they will sell Ousmane Dembele this summer if Barcelona meet their asking price.
The French international is currently serving an internal suspension for missing training after Dortmund rejected an offer from the Catalans.
Dembele is a target for the Nou Camp side, along with Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, as Barcelona look to bring in reinforcements following Neymar's £198m move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Zorc said Dortmund would not wait until the last few days of the transfer window for a deal to be agreed and insisted the 20-year-old would be staying at the club if the asking price was not met.
"We know where he is and have contact with him and his agent through a staff member," Zorc told Sky Sports Germany.
"We have a clear idea [of the fee] which Barcelona and the player know. If our demand is fulfilled, he will be transferred this summer. We will not make this transfer on the 30th or 31st of August."
Dembele scored 10 goals in 49 appearances last season after joining Dortmund for £13m from Rennes and helped the club win the DFB-Pokal Cup.
