Nurnberg general manager Martin Bader is confident the club will be given the green light by FIFA over the free transfer of Brazilian defender Marcos Antonio.
The 29-year-old switched to the Bundesliga outfit earlier this month from Rapid Bucharest, signing a two-year contract.
But Rapid Bucharest moved to report the transfer to FIFA, feeling they deserved a compensation payment as they had a deal with the player.
However, the defender had quit the club after not receiving a wage payment for more than three months.
And Bader believes FIFA will find no wrong doing in the transfer, telling
Nürnberger Zeitung newspaper: "We are aware of this, still the facts are very clear. Marcos Antonio will be granted the right to play through FIFA.
"We are extremely relaxed, however we are aware that this is still an issue. I am confident everything will be certified correct."
Mak deal
Meanwhile, Nurnberg have finally completed a new contract agreement with Slovakia U21 international forward Robert Mak.
The former Manchester City reserves player, whose previous deal was due to expire in June 2013, is now tied to the club until June 2015.
Bader told the club's
official website: "We are convinced Robbi (Robert Mak) will make progress in the future, he has a good future.
"We know he will be an important player in the future and we are pleased to have signed a new deal with him."
Since joining the club in 2010, the 21-year-old has scored five goals in 38 Bundesliga appearances.
