Robert Lewandowski fired a hat-trick in under four minutes as Poland beat Georgia 4-0 in their Group D European qualifier.

Poland were a goal ahead going into the final stages of their qualifying clash in Warsaw thanks to a 62nd-minute strike from Arkadiusz Milik, before Lewandowski struck three late goals in a frantic finale.

The Bayern Munich striker netted in the 89th minute, before adding his second and third in the first and third minutes of stoppage time.

It was the second fastest hat-trick in European Championship qualifying history, beaten only by Turkey's Arif Ardem, who scored three times in three minutes against Northern Ireland in the Euro 2000 campaign.

Lewandowski has now netted seven times in this qualifying group, bringing his international tally up to 26 goals in 68 games.

Poland are currently top of Group D with 14 points from six games.
