Napoli cut the gap to Serie A leaders Juventus to six points with a 2-1 win at Lazio, albeit they have now played a game more.

Jose Callejon put the hosts 1-0 up in the 34th minute and Arkadiusz Milik doubled the advantage three minutes later.

Lazio reduced the deficit through Ciro Immobile in the 65th minute before having Francesco Acerbi sent off with 20 minutes remaining.

Napoli's sixth win in seven Serie A matches saw the gap between them and leaders Juventus reduce again ahead of the champions hosting Chievo on Monday.

Lazio, meanwhile, remain fifth, a point behind fourth-placed Roma.

Atalanta are up to seventh after a 5-0 away thrashing of second-bottom Frosinone with Duvan Zapata scoring four times.

Gianluca Mancini's header gave the away side an 11th-minute lead and Zapata then took centre stage, netting just before the interval and adding efforts in the 47th, 64th and 73rd minutes.

German Pezzella's stoppage-time goal secured a point for 10-man Fiorentina as they drew 3-3 at home against Sampdoria.

The first half saw the home side open the scoring via Luis Muriel, before Edimilson Fernandes was sent off and Gaston Ramirez then make it 1-1.

After Muriel netted again in the 70th minute, a quickfire Fabio Quagliarella brace put Sampdoria in front, the 35-year-old converting an 81st-minute penalty and finishing again four minutes later before Pezzella rescued his side at the death.

Sixteenth-placed SPAL remain four points better off than 18th-placed Bologna after a 1-1 draw between the sides at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.

Jasmin Kurtic drew SPAL level just after the hour mark, cancelling out Rodrigo Palacio's first-half goal.

Empoli - who are 17th, three points clear of Bologna - were denied victory by Diego Farias' late strike as they drew 2-2 at Cagliari.

Farias struck in added time after Empoli had replied to Leonardo Pavoletti's opener with goals from Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Miha Zajc in the 70th and 81st minutes respectively.
