Real Madrid will make first contact with Roma over a deal to sign goalkeeper Alisson in the next few hours, according to Sky in Italy.
The first proposal is expected to be £43.7million (€50m) but his current club want double that amount for the player, who has been a target for Liverpool.
Real would not be willing to go beyond £52.4m (€60m) + £8.4m (€10m) in add-ons, Sky in Italy understand.
Sky in Italy are also reporting that the player's personal terms are already agreed in principle.
Sky Sports News reported earlier this week that Liverpool, who have been interested in the Brazil keeper since January, are unlikely to make an approach.
It is understood Liverpool are unwilling to meet Roma's £80m valuation of the player - potentially a world-record price for a goalkeeper.
Another source has told Sky Sports News that Alisson's likely destination is Real Madrid, but the reigning European champions do still hold an interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is entering the final year of his contract.
Alisson, 25, registered 17 clean sheets for Roma in Serie A last term - the second-highest total behind Napoli's Pepe Reina.
