Gareth Bale will miss out on a reunion with his former Tottenham team-mates after being left out of Real Madrid's squad ahead of their Champions League tie at Wembley on Wednesday.
Despite returning to training on Monday following a calf injury, Bale was not involved in Zinedine Zidane's 19-man squad travelling to London after being deemed not yet fit enough to feature.
It would have been the first time Bale returned to face his former side after his then-world record £85.3m transfer to Madrid.
The visiting side have other notable absentees including centre-back Rafael Varane, who misses out with a muscular injury, and they are also without first choice 'keeper Keylor Navas.
Long-term absentees Dani Carvajal and Mateo Kovacic remain unavailable after missing the home tie against Spurs.
However, there is some good news for Zidane as attacking midfielder Isco is available for selection, despite coming off with a thigh injury during Madrid's shock 2-1 away defeat to Girona on Sunday.
While Madrid have been hit by an injury crisis, Tottenham have been handed a late boost after Harry Kane, who has missed the last two matches with a hamstring problem, returned to training on Tuesday.
