Cristiano Ronaldo goes into this weekend's Madrid derby in search of his 50th direct free-kick of his career.
The forward has scored some stunning set-pieces for Real Madrid, Manchester United and Portugal but is also renowned for a low dead-ball conversion rate.
He has failed to find the net at major international tournaments in 43 attempts, while he's converted just six times in the league or Champions League since May 2014.
However, his 25-yard equaliser against former club Sporting Lisbon in September - his 12th direct free-kick goal in the Champions League - has put him within one strike of a significant milestone.
Ronaldo has scored five goals in eight La Liga appearances for table-toppers Real Madrid so far this season.
