Real Madrid kicked off the new La Liga season by recording a comfortable 3-0 win over Real Sociedad at the Anoeta on Sunday evening, with Marco Asensio scoring a stunning goal for the Champions League holders.
Already leading 1-0 at the time thanks to Wales forward Gareth Bale's second-minute opener, the visitors doubled their advantage five minutes before half-time via Asensio's lovely strike.
The Spain international attacking midfielder, 20, showed incredible composure with a brilliant first touch from a Raphael Varane long ball, before calmly chipping the ball over the advancing Geronimo Rulli on what was the player's first ever La Liga start for the club.
And Zinedine Zidane's side went on to score one more goal through that man Bale, who found the back of the net late on as Los Blancos matched rivals Barcelona's winning start to the new campaign on Saturday.
