Mariano Diaz Mejia's wonder goal helped Real Madrid beat Chelsea 3-2 in the International Champions Cup in Michigan on Saturday night.
The European champions were already leading 2-0 after a quick-fire brace from left-back Marcelo early on at the Michigan Stadium.
However, Madrid's best strike was saved for last as young forward Mariano made it 3-0 to Zinedine Zidane's side with a sensational effort from fully 35 yards out eight minutes before the break.
After a lovely flowing move down the left wing, the ball was worked to Mariano, who then beat Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic with a rocket from fully 35 yards out to send Real's fans in the Big House into delirium.
And despite substitute Eden Hazard's late double for the Premier League team, Los Blancos held on to win the contest.
