Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo could be fit to face Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final after taking part in training on Sunday.
The prolific Portugal international had to sit out Tuesday's first-leg 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium due to the hamstring injury which has kept him on the sidelines since April 20.
However, Real's official website reports that the 31-year-old joined his team-mates for the first half of Sunday's training session before working out alone on the pitch.
Ronaldo is the top scorer in this season's Champions League with 16 goals from 10 appearances and his return for Wednesday's second leg would obviously be a huge boost for Real.
Prior to his injury, Ronaldo had played every minute in this season's Primera Division, scoring 31 times in the process.
"Every Champions League match feels like the first," Ronaldo told the club's website. "And Real Madrid's priority is to win.
"We know it will be a tough challenge, but everything is possible. Manchester City are in the semi-finals because they are an excellent team."
Real's French striker Karim Benzema is also reportedly recovering from a hamstring injury of his own and defender Alvaro Arbeloa completed some running exercises as he closes in on a return to action, having been out since April.
